Missions Weekend

by Foothills Church on May 05, 2019

This weekend was Missions Sunday. We heard about the various missions that Foothills supports and were given opportunity to share in those missions financially and through personal involvement. In this lesson we will dig deeper into the concept of “mission” toward those outside the faith and how it relates to every Christian’s life.

Read 1 Thessalonians 4:10b-12. Here, Paul urges the Thessalonian Christians to “behave properly toward outsiders”. Outsiders means those outside the faith. What specifically does Paul insist the Christians do? Why do you suppose he thought these particular actions were so important?

Read Titus 2:11-14 and Titus 3:3-8. These passages are great little summaries of the gospel and our mission. Why do you suppose that both of these classic passages urge Christians to engage in good deeds? How important do you think “good deeds” actually are to our mission?
